February 21, 2020 Death Valley

Hello everyone,  today we rode from Ridgecrest CA to Death Valley National Park where we will be spending 3 nights at the Ranch at Death Valley.
Along the way we stopped at several places.  Among them, the Trona Pinnacles are well known in several movies.Trona pinnacle movies

The area is now a registered landmark.

As we continued through the mountains, there were plenty of beautiful mountains.

Ballarat is a Ghost town where a person lives and has a very small store to humor the visitors.

We stopped where there were 10 kilns where charcoal was produced.  The location was only used for 3 years.

Grammie is always a good sport when a photo op situation comes up.

We next stopped at the location of the Eurika gold mines.  Jean Pierre Aguereberry work at the mines for 40 years until his death.  Over his life he is thought to have mined $175,000 of gold.  The holes were probably put in his living area because people thought he might have hidden money in the walls.

If anyone is looking for car parts, maybe this would interest you.

We finally made it to Death Valley and this is the first picture we have of the Death Valley.

Thanks for sharing Grammie's travels with us.
