Feb 1, 2020 San Diego Safari Park

Today we visited the San Diego Safari Park.  It is part of the San Diego Zoo but is on a location across the city.
We had great luck again as today, Feb 1, the park entry was free to Senior Citizens.   Savings, $50 each.
Because of all the pictures I took (160) Tom decided to make this up close and personal.  The pictures are close ups of the face.  Some of the animals may be recognized easily while others may be difficult because we don't or have never seen them.
The website for the park is at this link  Safari Park

We also went to visit the Mt Soledad National Veterans Memorial.

A view of the city of San Diego from the memorial

On the walls in front of the memorial there were hundreds of plaques honoring those who served.

Although never having served in the military, he was a true inspiration to thousands who did.

The memorial is for all soldiers.  Some who gave all.

A view of some of the many plaques.

The seal of the separate military organizations with date started.

 San Diego in the distance.

We did get down to Seal Cove to get a few pics of the Seal Pups

Many of the people were out to watch an awesome sunset.

The final seconds before sunset with Seal Beach to the lower right.

Today was perfect day for being outside.  Thank you for watching out for Grammie.
