February 16, 2020 San Francisco

Hi everyone.  Today we went into San Francisco.  We had visited the city before so this time we did things a little differently.  We went to Dragon Beaux for Dim Sum.

Dim sum is a style of Chinese cuisine. It is prepared as small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on a small plate. Dim sum is generally considered Cantonese, although other varieties exist. Dim sum dishes are usually served with tea and together form a full tea brunch.  This is what our meal list looked like.
After the meal, we did some walking around.  The Golden Gate Bridge.
Looking across the bay to the city of San Francisco.
Granmme's niece Karen with Cam and Grace.  They were wonderful hosts for the last 3 days.  Thanks again.

Yes, we were both there with the bridge in the background.
In the middle of the bay is the Alcatraz living quarters.
Underneath the Golden Bay Bridge is Point Fort.  Along the walkway are rusted chain links.  They are about in inch in diameter.
Point Fort located below the Golden Gate Bridge.
Looking down at the bay area from the walkway going up to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Flowers in bloom.
A container ship heading towards the city.

After the stairs at Point Reyes yesterday and today's stairs going up to the Golden Gate Bridge Grammie passed the radar check.

Looking North towards Sausalito and Mill Valley there was plenty of Sunday traffic.

Back in the car, we headed towards a place where they have Korean style food, but before we got there, we passed through a well known section of town.

The names are familiar...  Although this signpost looks fancier, the original sign looks more like the one below.
 Haight Ashbury

When it was after and we were looking for a good finish to complete the meal, out hosts seem to know many of the right places.  This was one of their favorites. 2 Scoop Peanut Butter Chocolate with waffle cone.

We finally got to see a self driving car.  While watching it, the car seemed to have a problem getting started with a lot of people crossing the street.
Finally, after a great day in the city it was time to head back to Mill Valley.
