Albuquerque, in the old part of the city, is very colorful. It takes window shopping to another level. The stores sell a lot of locally created articles with jewelry, pottery and various modes of art. This store just happened to be on Rio Grande Boulevard. The actual river was in the location of the current Rio Grande Boulevard and was eventually re-routed.
The San Felipe De Neri Church has continuously served the community since 1706.
A shake for lunch was what was needed.
Colorful chicken art
Store fronts even show additional color.
We happened to notice a train along the way just outside of the city with no graffiti, and now we understand where the paint went.
A wall mural
Heading up the road to Santa Fe, we saw some cloud formations that looked different. When you are about a mile high, you may not be looking up at the clouds, rather into them.
These clouds were forming as they headed up over the sides of the mountain range.
We left Albuquerque and arrived in Santa Fe, a trip of only 60 miles. After dinner, on our way back to the room...would you believe snow. It only lasted for a short while, and will most likely have melted by dark.
It will be below freezing tonight, but Grammie won't be complaining...she has her Sudoku book.
