Today we decided to drive through the Adirondacks to see some spectacular views of the mountains. Thinking the added hour to the days drive would prove to be good didn't turn out that way. The on and off rain and clouds took away our enthusiasm for the ride however there were many reminders of the calendar day.
When we arrived at our overnight lodging, we were given a $25 gift certificate to a Delmonico's restaurant that we could see out the window from our room. We took advantage of it and the meal was what we needed...and enjoyed after a day's drive.
