September 25, 2016 Ford Museum

We arrived in Dearborn and headed straight for the Ford Museum.  A lot of the museum is about transportation but there is also a lot about Americana and the things that many of us grew up with in the past.

President Kennedy's limo on the day he was assassinated.

The Alleghaney locomotive and tender weighing in at 603 tons.  After their active lives were done,  they were scrapped.

A passenger car.

Bangor and Aroostook car for passengers.

A train of stagecoach car.

Camping anyone?

Old Orchard Beach

A fold up bicycle.  Folded up 26" x 24" x 12",  25 pounds.

This may look familiar to the older crowd.

A classic, 1965 Mustang

Maine transportation  Coles express

Charles Kuralt's "On the Road vehicle"

Driving Miss Daisy.

What started in 1919...and didn't end until 1984...really!

The actual bus that Rosa sat on.

Today was a great day at the Museum.

On a much sadder note, Arnold Palmer died today.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for Grammie!
