On the way south towards Monticello, the Canyonlands has an eastern entrance and we decided to see the rest of the National Park.
Working our way down the road we happened to see a hand painted sign on a rock and turned in to see.
The hole in the rock turned out to be a hole in the lower part of the rock that has been covered over with a storefront. More space behind a wall became the home which was available as a tour for $6.50. Sorry, we didn't bite, besides no pictures allowed.
Golfer sculpture made up of golf clubs.
A jeep sculpture made up of nuts, bolts, scrap metal and license plates.
Finally on the way to the Canyonlands...Wilson's Arch
These formations will eventually become what are called needles.
More future needles.
Wooden Shoe Arch
Grammie blending in very well.
Canyonland Needles
Grampy is fair play too!
These are called Mushrooms in Canyonland lingo.
Now add the Fins, the long narrow rock outcroppings, you have all 3..Needles, Mushrooms and Fins.
Free Range beef on the hoof.
We turned on the TV at the Inn and the channel info indicated Analog. Luckily just a minute down the street during Tom's evening walk, the source was found. Incoming signal.
Outgoing signal to the town.
Tomorrow, headed east to Ridgway, CO
