Had a great day today. Tom got in 18 holes at the Naval Academy golf course. Shortly after, we went to the Academy for a wonderful guided tour. Our guide was a "65" graduate who retired as a Naval Captain and provided running commentary about the facilities and history. Our group asked so many questions that we went over our time. He knew the answer for all the great questions but I was really struck when a lady asked where the french architecture influence of Bancroft Hall from...and to our amazement...names, dates...it was great.
The remains of John Paul Jones lie in a Crypt downstairs beneath the Naval Academy Chapel.
Tonight we are at Fort Lee, the Quartermaster home.
